Review of Raw Cookie Dough Milkshake by Chocolate Covered Katie

Image
This weekend, I tried making Chocolate Covered Katie's  Raw Cookie Dough Milkshake . (I know, I know, not healthy, but every girl has a cookie dough milkshake craving once in while.) When I first saw this recipe, I was like, cookie dough milkshake . . . cookie dough milkshake . . . cookie dough milkshake - I need that right now!! It was absolutely divine! My only complaint was the thickness of it. It was supposed to serve one, but my dad and I split it and found it so rich neither of us finished of our glass. It was SO good, but just so thick we were full after an inch of it. My recommendation would be to split it with maybe four people, and provide cookies to dip. Cookie dough milkshake with cookies . . . cookie dough milkshake with cookies . . . cookie dough milkshakes with cookies . . . Bye-bye! Off to recruit cravers for a cookie dough milkshake with cookies! I need that right now!!!

School Lunch Hacks ~ They will save your life!

Bored with the regular PB&J, this year I've been diving into the world of school lunches. Who knew there was so many ingenious ideas out there? Inspiration first sparked when I read the book Lunch Box Blues  by J. M. Hirsch.   The author of the book is a genius. This book is the school lunch BIBLE. I've spent hours dissecting each tasty, time-sensitive recipe. There are dinner recipes, along with two different recipes for school lunches that use the leftovers. The point of the book is quick, easy, and delicious. I've recently been experimenting with different creations, and have found that no matter how carefully laid out my meal plan is for the week, it always gets shaken up. Sometimes I oversleep or just can't create a feast. And that's alright. I'm to share with you some school lunch hacks that are beyond yummy and can be done in pinch. Just remember to not beat yourself up if some days you slap together a basic PB&J and call it done.

Hi! My name's Zoe, and I'm a total foodie committed to eating green. I used to hate kale, detest veggies, and believe that smoothies were basically the only health food. Boy was I wrong! When our family made a turn for the healthier and started to pull out the flaxseed and leafy greens, I was horrified. Now, I've realized that food that's good for you can actually be good. Like really, really good. I started this blog for fellow kale and flaxseed haters based on one rule: Make it taste good.  I honestly don't care if it's awesome for your body- if doesn't taste great, who's going to eat it? If I can find another way to incorporate it that I like, I will. But if it's just gross? Nope. I have no desire to make anyone believe that healthy food is disgusting, because it's not. I definitely don't want to go sugar-free. I love chocolate way too much for that. This blog is supposed to be proof that green is good.  I'm talking recipes that
